Yikes! I'm Tagged!!

Oh dear! I've been 'tagged' to reveal 7 weird or interesting facts about myself. Oh lordy here goes

1: I 'eloped' to Gretna Green to get married to my partner after 18 years together. We asked the guest house owner and a random lady from the high street to be our witness es. Dorothy (from the high street) cried during the 3 minute service ( we exchange xmas cards now !). I still don't have a wedding ring :(

2: As a teenager I used to be a 'Goth'... I'm still a little 'hippy'

3: I drive a 20 year old car called Foxy

4: I'm scared of big things like bridges and cargo ships

5: I remember my dreams every night and feel the need to bore my husband with the tales

6: I have complete conversations with my pet cats

7: I find the reflections of stained glass more interesting than the glass itself

Fairytale Chandelier!

A few weeks ago I was asked to make a glass garland that was going to be draped around a chandelier. I don't think my garlands have ever been put to such a grand use before and this I had to see! So Diane kindly sent a photograph of her gorgeous chandelier (with bunting!) hanging in her Californian home . I used confetti glass and some antique glass all in candy shades of blues and greens with swarovski beads and grey velvet ribbon. I think it looks very fairytale-esque and I really want a chandelier now to copy this look!!!!

Gold Yellow Ochre

I woke up this week to find a treasury I'd made on Etsy was on their front page and 2 items had sold already - yay! I love this ochre colour, especially at this time of year! But I really must stop making treasuries, I find them very addictive, and a great excuse to browse through my favourite Etsy shops :) I have so many glass pieces not even started yet that I really should be in my studio and not sitting at the computer!

Etsy Front Page!

Getting on Etsy's front page always is a bit of a buzz - it's such great exposure for all the shops featured. Last weekend I made it there again, this time courtesy of the lovely Ira of Iragrant and her "Simply Red" treasury. I missed the actual event but Becky of Tortillagirl sent me a screenshot .
