La Vie En Rose

When I visited Grenoble this week I took a picture of this florist shop because it looked so pretty even on a dark, wet afternoon. Everyday, fresh rose petals are scattered outside on the pavement like confetti - I find it so beautiful everytime I walk by. This little shop, with it's rose petals, inspired my latest bunting. "Briar Rose" has seven types of gorgeous pink glass, finished with a antiqued copper patina pink swarovski embellishment and tied with a soft and lush green velvet ribbon. You can find it in my Etsy shop here

An Angel at My Side

I got some unexpected birthday pressies over the weekend - I was featured in 3, yes!, 3 frontpage Etsy treasuries and my own 'Birthday' treasury got there too!! yay!!

So thank you to
IraGrant
JKphotography
Sisicata
you really put the icing on the cake of what was a lovely weekend for me :)

Today I was busy soldering up a panel and working on some bunting colours but took time out to rephotograph my Chateau Angel wings for my Etsy shop. I think this pic better shows just how delicate and romantic the grey glass is.

Invasion of the Flutterbys

I have started to make lots of these little butterflies to hang in my gallery this summer. I attached findings to the wings so that when threaded with fine monofilament they can be tilted in various angles of flight :)

I'm hoping to hang them from a large painted or gilded branch hanging down from the centre of the room and have about another 40 or so to make !

I'm going to list a few in my Etsy shop too, starting with a pretty wispy white one. You can find it in my shop here

M. Ferrari to the Rescue

Not much happens around here - so when the truck delivering building materials for our new terrace got stuck and started to slide sideways down into the neighbours garden, well, it had to be blog worthy :) The ground was soft from melting snow so potentially it could have landed on it's side on top of our neighbours very nice little stone shed. - I could do without the drama.

So we had to call on one of our local farmers to pull the truck out - yay for tractors :) yay for Mr Ferrari :) and yay for the nice little shed not being flattened :)

On the glassy side of life, I listed this panel for sale in my Etsy shop today - mellowy, buttery yellows, whites and with a little fresh green too. Perfect for a sunny kitchen or bedroom window. You can find it here

Captured Pink

I've been neglecting my blog again :( I did sort my ribbons and went shopping again the next day for more - they haven't made it into the jar yet. But even when ribbons are a jumbled mess they still look pretty - that's my excuse anyway.

I have been busy though - I've made a little collection of 'flying' butterflies. I'll take some photos of them when the light gets better in a day or so. I've made some panels, cut some earrings and written a 'to do' list of pieces that are long over due. My mirrored wings for example! I was supposed to have more of them made last year (!) and I also want to design a larger pair as the centre piece of my gallery but I'm having a problem with the design - I know in my head what I want but I can't quite translate it to paper...

I listed this large art glass choker on Etsy today "Captured Pink" . It's pretty and summery unlike here where we seem to be still waiting for spring! A buyer mentioned in her feedback that the pendant chokers she'd bought were larger than she had expected - I don't think it was a criticism as she seemed to love the pieces but it made me realise that people don't really read the sizes in the description - I'm guilty of this too - so I'm trying to include a photo of me holding the jewellery with each new listing. Buyers beware: most of my pendants are large - I like a nice statement piece!!! You can find this choker in my Etsy shop here
