Life begins :)

Well I'm back from Ireland, and had my 'BIG' birthday last week which went really well except for my sister forgetting it - I'll get my own back when she hits her next milestone ;) It actually feels quite liberating - and in true 'mid-life' crisis fashion I've decided to make a few work changes :)

I'm going to officially work 'part-time' on my glass. "Not a drastic change in productivity" I hear you all muttering :P It's more psychological - I can create when I feel inspired and not stress/feel guilty when I need to do other things :)

I'm no longer accepting online custom orders. This will free up my glass time to work on my own projects :) And in all honesty....does anyone really enjoy this work? Be honest!! I keep reading on shop announcements "I love custom work" but then I keep hearing about the nightmares and the stress. This does not affecting offline orders, which can still be ordered directly from my atelier in France.

Finally, I'm closing some of my social networking pages such as Myspace, Indiepublic and others that I can't even remember at the minute!. I joined all these before I started blogging and now they are lying gathering dust and full of old, out-of-date news and photographs. Time to spring clean!

Happy Belated Birthday! I hope you had a good one. I can also understand about creating more creativity by adding a little bit of distance between you and your work. It will be a good thing.

happy birthday! and those are some excellent presents you're giving yourself - part of my new years resolution was to delete all the social networking sites I never use... and once I remembered the passwords for each of them and got rid of them I felt so much better and more organized - almost as good as cleaning out your wardrobe!

Oh you smart girl! Actually, I do like most of my custom orders as it allows me to do things I wouldn't always do. But sometimes they are difficult it's true. But closing some of the social networking pages... You've given me the courage as I never look at myspace and the others! Good on you!!

Happy belated Birthday, Pam!
I've hided myself of the community lately, since I had the feeling I was running out of time. I still 'follow' many of you through your blogs since I care about you, even if I don't comment each time.
Your workspace is still a dream and I'm still in love with your mirrors. Hope to own one one day :) Happy Weekend!

very pretty work Pam :) BTW I didn't forget your birthday just that it was your 40th lol!! everyone forgot Steph's 'sweet 16' the day after yours!!
It's okay I lost a complete year in my early 40's....the memory has a way of doing that to you, especially when you have 4 kids.
Have fun be creative and I look forward to seeing what the next few weeks produce....everythings gorgeous in my opinion anyway xoxo
