Vintage Tutus from The Royal Opera House Collection

I was looking for romantic vintage ballet costumes to inspire some new garlands and discovered these treasures from The Royal Opera House collection
Fabulous.

Tutu worn by Fiona Chadwick as The Fairy Winter in Act I scene 2 of The Royal Ballet production of 'Cinderella' (1987)

I remember going to tha ballet often and was much more mesmerised by the costumes than the dance, I actually went for the costumes... (shht don't tell my mother who tried to enlighten me with culture..)

INSPIRING!

It was always ballet costumes that made me want to dance more than the performers themselves.
